Tips to iron your shirts perfectly

Tips to iron your shirts perfectly

Read some tips below for the perfectly ironed shirt. Using the tips below, you will have your shirt ironed in a short time and without any worry about creases.

1. Prepping

Take a good look at the label on your shirt. Certain materials such as cotton and cotton blend can withstand high temperatures. Polyester, for example, needs less heat.

With a Philips iron with OptimalTEMP technology, this is no longer a concern. This technology guarantees a perfect ironing result for both natural and synthetic materials, without adjusting the temperature.

Untie all buttons on your collar and cuffs. Always follow this order: collar - shoulders - sleeves - body.

2. Collar

Lay the collar flat on your ironing board tightly upwards. First iron the bottom of the collar, then the top. Pull your hand on one side so that it is taut and iron from the other side to your hand. Don't be afraid to use a lot of steam. The powerful continuous steam penetrates deep into the fabric, making creases disappear even faster.

Then turn your shirt over and repeat.

3. Shoulders

Ironing the shoulder areas is the hardest part for many, as it is difficult to lay down on the ironing board.

Place one shoulder on the tip of the ironing board and use your fingers to tighten the seams. Smooth it out. Repeat on the other side.

4. Sleeves

Place the sleeve, buttons up, on the ironing board. Make sure the seams are flat against the board and straight. Start at the top of the sleeve up to the cufflinks. When you reach the buttons, pull the cuff with one hand and iron the area to the left and right of the buttons.

Note - do not use steam when you go over the buttons. Place the cuff on the edge of your ironing board and iron. Do this for your other sleeve too.

5. Body

Place your shirt on the board with the buttons facing up. Pull your shirt with one hand to keep it taut and iron with the other. Don't forget to use a lot of steam! When you need to iron the buttons, iron between all the buttons.

Ready! Now hang your shirt nicely on a hanger!
