My Philips Tower Fan produces a strange smell

Published on 19 June 2023
If your Philips Tower Fan emits a strange smell, find possible causes and solutions below.

There is a plastic smell during the first use

The first few times you use your appliance, you may smell a plastic scent that is normal for new appliances. However, if the fan produces a burnt smell, turn it off, unplug it from the wall socket, and contact us for further assistance through phlips.com/contact .

The aroma pad needs to be replaced

Your tower fan is equipped with an aroma diffuser to use with essential oil. The scent of essential oil could change or become weaker after applying it for a while. Please replace it with a clean cotton pad that meets hygienic standards, when it gets dirty or becomes less aromatic.

If the solutions above do not help, contact us for further assistance.
