Philips Fidelio SoundBarSoundbar speaker

I was in the market to upgrade my basic 2.1 soundbar into something more sophisticated. I extensively tested this soundbar in the store by playing different file formats - my favorite TV shows, Blu-ray movies, Music etc. I There are many professional reviews available on the internet so I would urge you to read those. All of them have given very high marks to this system. The beauty of the soundbar is the ease of use. It is ready to play right out of the box with no need of complicated wiring. The sound is incredible for all 3 formats - Voice (for TV watching), Movies for 5.1 channel Blu-ray movies and Music for songs. It has bass and treble controls for adjusting the sound to your liking. The surround effects from the satellite speakers is superb! Movies with both action scenes and dialogues sound clear. The ability to control the treble and good quality tweeters lends extra bite to quite dialogues scenes. The bass unit gives thumping bass in action scenes. Although the overall system is rated at 210 Watts, it is loud enough for most mid-sized rooms. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this model strongly for people wanting to get more out of their TV viewing experience.

Wanted 5.1 channel wireless home theatre. Had no option than philips fidelio b5. After rigorously testing and comparing with other brands philips proved that it was an undisputed leader in innovation. Philips fidelio b5 wireless performance was superior than professional wired home theatres. Unbelievable. Thanks to philips for this innovative product. USB and FM could hve been added. But its ok.

very good design and finishing. Sound quality is amazing. no wires. easy to install and use. Very good music clarity even in low volume. Stereo would have been much better.

Audio output is amazing, nice features only problem is you don't get the battery for wireless speakers

The issue is only on the service which is very poor and I have highlighted the same in customer service and also to your local dealership

I was looking for a wireless surround sound system and B5 fitted my requirement very well. Setup was easy and the sound quality is pretty good. Spatial calibration is spot on. However, I was not able to make the ARC work, inspite of using multiple compatible HDMI cables. The sound levels varies from one source to another. But still all these negatives are forgotten when watching movies or when listening to music. Have recommended B5 to many of my friends!

Right from the first day , the person who came for the installation could not configure the system. I myself got some the configuration done by going through the manual. The HDMI-ARC & OPTIC FIBER options are not effective. The sound gets suppressed. The only option working perfectly is AUDIO-IN through output from TV-HEADPHONE. Though the bluetooth option works but it does give stereo effect. I am unable to get software download support for my soundbar B5.
