My option was different before seeing philips 50 put5809. But when I saw the tv, I have surrendered myself to its picture clarity. On head to head comparison between philips and other brands ultra hd, in every comparison, philips tv proved that it is an undisputed leader in technology. Ambilight, the most impressive feature. Few simple marketing technique will bring philips to no 1 position in India and also in globe.

Planning for an upgrade from LED Full HD to 4K 3D with the most popular and successful brand in India. Checked all the successful brands but when checked Philips LED Full HD with other 4K brands..it's a complete different story...seriously fall in LOVE with Philips. But...There's a twist! The product I wanted to see and shortlisted could not be checked as there's no model to display...I mean the particular model 50 PUT 8509...and the basic latest features are missing while reading the brochure which is only available with the shop...main disadvantages like 1) Lack Android O.S. 2) Lack Quad-core Processor which actually make the TV to a further horizon. 3) Lack of Web camera integration 4) Lack of HDMI 2.0 5) In box at least 4 quantity instead of only 2 Active 3D spectacles ...I don't know when I would actually be in front of that how many more might come...

Starting on a negative note, should not take away its beauty. Amazed by Ambilight feature apart from picture clarity and color saturations. Awesome engineering, wonder why HDMI2.0 was a miss from the specs. Another frustration was the lack of India as a region. I would have expected to the clock to have synced automatically. Nice smart features although an integrated camera would have been much appreciated.

I Recently Bought This UHD TV.It has Wonderful Ambilight Feature Which Is Great So Beautiful And Color,Contrast And Pictures Were Really Good Even User Interface Is Pretty Good,Nice And Simple.Its Ultra HD Engine Is Superb For Watching Action Movies Smoothly. BUT The One Con Or One Flaw In It Is That Its HDMI Is 1.4 Which Means 4K Pictures Will Run In It On 30 Hz And All Latest 4K Or UHD TV's Are Coming With HDMI 2.0 Where 4K Pictures Run At 60 Hz, So I would Be Very Very Happy If Philips Update Its HDMI 1.4 TO HDMI 2.0 Through Some Firmware Or Software Update,Then This TV Will Become Absolutely FLAWLESS AND PERFECT.

The software update for this Led TV is not available and mirror cast is not working with iphone & android phone.
