I have forgotten my Philips TV 4-digit pin code. How to reset it?

Follow the instructions below to reset the 4-digit access code if you cannot remember it:

  1. Press the [Menu] button on the remote control to access the home menu
  2. Use the cursor buttons [Up][Down][Left][Right] to select [Setup] and press the [OK] button to confirm
  3. Press the cursor [Down] to select [Features]and press the cursor [Right]
  4. Press the cursor [Down] to select [Change code] and press the cursor [Right]
  5. When the prompt ENTER PIN appears on the screen, enter the universal code ‘8888'
  6. Then enter an easily remembered new 4-digit pin code and enter the new pin a second time for confirmation
  7. Press the [Back] button to exit the menu

If you have not set your personal 4-digit pin code when you first turned on the TV, you need to do this before you can use the child lock feature.

Follow the instructions below to set the 4-digit access code for the first time:

  1. Press the [Menu] button on the remote control to access the home menu
  2. Use the cursor buttons [Up][Down][Left][Right] to select [Setup] and press the [OK] button to confirm
  3. Press the cursor [Down] to select [Features]and press the cursor [Right]
  4. Press the cursor [Down] to select [Set code] and press the cursor [Right]
  5. When the prompt NEW PIN appears on the screen, enter an easily remembered new 4-digit pin code and enter the new pin a second time for confirmation
  6. Press the [Back] button to exit the menu
