Soundbar Home theater

Viewing a movie with family on a weekend and u have Philips sound bar. Its an equal experience of a cinema at home. Its the best thing I ever purchased for my weekend entertainment. I really love to watch english hi defination movies on it.

awesome product ,unmatched combination, powerful clear sound. a-z alphabets are not enough to describe its qualities, just buy it, to feel the madness. first time i saw this product at my friend house in a party and bought it the very next day.

I was gifted the Philips Soundbar HTS9140 from a friend and was really excited to have it. It is aesthetically designed piece and looks great under a 42" tv, hanging on the wall. The setup of the system is very easy with well placed and distinctly marked input points. It is a single piece sound bar with one woofer. The handling of the system is easy. You can connect it with your TV through Aux or directly to DTH , it gives a Dolby Sound effect. You may also connect it to the internet through lan port. Connected the TV gives option of Smart TV through internet. Many apps are available for internet browsing. You have many options to connect it to different devices i.e USB,HDMI, Homegroup through internet, MP3link (3.5 mm jack). SO in all its a complete device , the only thing is that it has a very slow processor which takes a lot of patience to connect and play different things. Now I want to come to sound which is good but not great, the sound bar does not give a satisfying performance for loud beats and drums but is good for acoustic low range songs. So if you want to play some loud beats,EDM,hard rock or Metal, this is not a great device but if you are an easy listener who likes mild songs and beats the device is good. Overall it a a pretty decent device.

It is very good home theatre. it can be hang on the wall. minimum space required. a complete home cinema theatre.

The ports at the back are poorly placed. It is a challenge to connect them, especially if the number of wires are more. They should have been placed perpendicular to the back instead of being recessed and placed parallel to the back. Also there should be someone to guide on proper installation and performance tuning of the system.
