smooth sound at low as well as high volume clarity level is very high

too much bass, we have no control for that. Also each time you have to adjust setting for bass and treble. It doesn't save. Also no auto play. low remote sensor quality.

This is my humble review, Please I hope my words will be taken into consideration and reach the ears of both the engineering and marketing departments. 7 important points: 1) The hts has excellent bass and picture quality is excellent. However I think the treble is very low and high frequencies like those of hihats etc do not come out as it should. 2) The hdmi arc features is a failure, so much problems with it, unable to wake sources properly and tv speakers are unabled each time failing the amplifier sound. 3) The lcd display is very weak, at 4 m from the hts, you can barely see the display, should be bigger and brighter. 4) At least the sound source function should be displayed on the screen too. You have to move very close to the weakly lighed display to see it. Note that my display is on 100%, meaning it cannot brcome brighter. 5) In some philips hts models, they have failed to put an rca video out, meaning if someones tv does not have hdmi,coaxial or optical they are stuck but I understand that most people already have a high resolution tv to cope with the hts. 6) In some philips hts models there is not enough hdmi input besides the hdmi arc, there should be at least 3 hdmi inputs. 7) firmware, software update cannot update through direct internet connection, you have no choice than updating it through usb only.

when you fix the tall box speaker use coconut oil to fix the screw on base.the screw is big and you feel it may be the wrong size ,but it is not

I bought Home theater systems HTD5550/94 in this Month. Sound quality is very good.. no issue. Remote control is very poor quality not operating & functioning properly. its quality and look is very poor & 3rd Class. I surprised Philips is brand company how can this type of remote launched in the market. china remote is better than Philips but Philips remote absolutely 3rd class and low quality. your company goodwill spoil with issue I request to Philips company kindly remove this type of remote and issue best quality remote also me. Dear sir i have purchased Philips htd 5594 . Nice product . Good sound quality but one issue that is not supported Mp4 3gp mkv avi ..... if this file support my product i gave 10 out 10. Sir plz help to play this type format file via usb

Superb bass quality to make one feel watching a movie at the bigscreen. Sometimes you should decrease the bass level to enhance clarity. An optical cable was missing to connect with dolby digital SPDIF output of my HD LED TV, so had to opt for AUX cables. Great looks and design with its angled speakers and enough wire lengths for installing tall boys. But screws were incompatible to tall boy stand threads,, to hard to insert and finally its bend and somehow standing.. FM signals are intermittent and they load every time taking a minute at least but finally sounds perfect. bluetooth works perfect for playing music from my NFC enabled smartphone. DVD playing is excellent and supports karaoke and microphone..All in all a recommendable system...

Sound quality is good. But some lacking should be rectified. 1>ARC not enable with HDMI port 2> REMOTE coverage very bad 3> KARAOKE can,t enable with usb or without dvd

I bought HTD5550 last week, the system was properly packed and delivered. I installed all the items, was easy just that the screws were bit tight and gave a fear as if i will end up breaking the part. I must say that the Bass is amazing!!! However, I am disappointed to notice that there is not even basic level of Treble, i played all kind of music but treble is just missing. I feel miles of difference when i hear same songs on my normal music system and even the smartphone with headphone. Secondly, very basic again, there is no user configurable Equalizer setting, there are only preset options to select from. Max, one can do is just adjust separately Bass & Treble. No individual frequency gain setting is possible. Lastly, the remote quality is pathetic. I don't know if it is the remote or the system, one need to wait for couple of seconds after pressing the remote button for function to get activated. SOMETHING NOT EXPECTED FROM BRAND LIKE PHILIPS

I bought this two weeks before in chennai as this sound clarity is good but not supporting many video formats not even supporting Mp3 and video files from pendrive . Can you anybody help me.
