My son likes to say that I can't live without a blender. It is true. The present Philips Mixer Grinder I have is my third in some 15 years--don't get me wrong: I have loved all three, but the first two had to be given away to young friends who admired my Philips Mixer Grinders and coveted them. Vegetable juices, purees for soup, smoothies and shakes, the odd Italian grappa, everything is a breeze with my Philips Blender. I grind batter for idli and vada, as well as make coconut and other chutneys with great ease using the Philips Blender. Hommus and baba ganoush turn out perfect every time for me. So do lassies and spicy buttermilk with jeera, coriander leaves, and a touch of green chilly. I find it easy to use the Philips Blender and easy to keep it clean. The locking system is really safe and simple. The motor is durable. I use the big jar when I cook for gatherings as well as for just our family meals. it is such a convenient size. I guess my son ought to be more specific and say that I can't live without a Philips Blender. He would be absolutely right.
