DVD player

The DVD player gives a good picture quality for movies.I love to watch my favorite movies on my big screen.Its wonderful experience. The device as a whole is good. Some things which I liked/disliked are as below. Likes: 1. 5.1 support + HDMI + USB in a single player 2. Easylink feature Dislike: 1. Bit noisy while reading the disk. Not sure how competitors are placed on this point. But as an end user I could say that this is noisier than an older Philips player (forgot model no) which I have. 2. There is no volume control button directly available on the remote. This make it difficult if you don't have an Amp/recevier (which would have had a remote with volume control). 3. UI Could have been more graphical. 4. While using an USB harddisk, I could see that, the player was not able to find the files which are kept deeper in the folder structure. I had to copy the same file in to folders nearer to the root folder. 5. There is no shuffle option for music from USB. It would have been nice if there was an option to browse to a folder and then say to play all music files inside that folder and subfolders.

Bought the player in June this year. Has great quality and is so easy that my four year old son can operate. It reads USB drives except external hard drives. All generally accepted formats except mkv are read. Has optical hdmi and coaxial cable out puts and with hdmi syncs with my TV to get direct control making the use of a single remote. I highly recommend this product

I have been using the product since long. very comfortable with the things. never faced any technical issue except one time which get rectified in very short time. It is very easy to operate and too fast in processing of dvds and all. Philips has maintained its brand since long and i have trust on the products. People can go for the same.

Our family of twelve has purchased four dvd players from Philips over the last decade. All of us have never had any trouble with them. To date, the oldest dvd player still runs great! The latest one runs so many video formats, it's amazing! We also love the evolving design. The latest one is sleek and fits well with our home decor. Philips is a reputed brand and a name that inspires trust. Our other products from Philips like hair dryers and small kitchen appliances have also worked wonderfully over the years. Pros: 1. The Pro-Reader Drive which plays a whole lot of formats. 2. The sleek and compact deisgn. 3. Good video picture quality. 4. Easy to use. Cons: 1. The sound quality is average. If you are an audiophile, this is not your music machine.

Best design..best quality...and for the low price money it is best product for all

Great model with loaded features required for modern age.

i'm well satisfied with this product. The picture quality is good . Even if the DVD disc has scratches the picture doresn't get stuck and plays smoothly. i'm using it since 8 months and i didnt face any malfunctioning with the product. Only drawback is there's no navigation to the previous chapter while playing a DVD disc.
