Good Phone for elderly
Gone for X2566 also. Lighter than X2566, still solves the purpose of elderly, fonts are big and side light and lock buttons makes it comfortable. But as per X2566 camera and FM/Player switch is missing and ring tone sound is also quite low but compared to simple classic phones is OK. Battery backup is for two days where X2566 have seen goes for 3-4 days. My Mom is using X2566 and Mamaji using this one. SOS present in both - good feature for elderly as when this button pressed for 3 seconds it does make calls to feeded three numbers and if all the three does not answer it sends specified message to all the three. I give 4 stars to this E310 and 5 stars to X2566. Would request Philips to maintain its quality as senior citizens require all the features which are in X2566 where they have moved to this one. If X2566 is present I would have not recommended this one but for elderly in the absense of X2566 a one must go for this one rather than other brands.

After 3 months of usage, ear piece stopped working.
As many people complained, ear piece stopped working after 3 months. Before ear piece stopped working, my dad complained about phone being shutting down in the middle of conversation. Even though UI shows battery is full. Tried to recharge the phone but it kept on charging even after 12 hrs! seems like there is no end to it! Observed couple of times that when bluetooth turned on phone was automatically restarting. Software quality is pathetic, there is no automatic time synchronization with the carrier, manually need to set the date and time. Now comes the pain part of it. 1) I don't know the service centers in Bangalore, when tried to search in philips site, it gives only google map of Bangalore but not service centers! 2) If I try to search for digital copy of the manual, it is not available on the site. 3) As I bought this phone on online retailer, online retailer is not accepting it back.

Faulty Earpiece
The phone is goid. However the ear piece stopped working due to which i had ti use speaker to communicate. On some research i found many buyers are facung this problem.
