CD Soundmachine

This product is no longer in production i know that but it's wonderful. I am using this product since 2017 and recorded plenty of stuffs . I have Philips AW626, RR898, vintage Philettina radio, VCD 100, and more. Very nice brand.

Great sound quality especially with the Bass and treble response. Harmless sound level i.e sound level is logarithmic, so does not give any chance to hearing impairment. Excellent DAC and ADC conversion with this CD sound machine it has a brilliant circuit design. This CD sound machine only needs a small fiber glass in the cassette door to ensure the pickup wheel is working or not or simply avoid cassette tape jamming. And a built-in-condenser mic to record outdoor speeches in the cassette. Cassettes are special, we can start or stop recording / playback anywhere, we can do audio splitting and joining, reattach cut tapes and reuse, N times recording and erasing, cassettes adds immense echo effects naturally and so on. This product can digitize any audio signals from our favorite cassettes. I suggest to use Polyurethane or Viton O rings as a drive belt in cassette deck mechanism it is most durable than commonly used rubber belts. I already own Philips RR898/00 Double deck compo stereo 80W PMPO boombox nearly for 20 years. It is still alike when I was purchased it 19 years ago and still in good condition. It's sound quality is inexplicably amazing. I also have 1978 Philips Philetta MW /SW transistor radio good working, Philips VCD 100 silver color 2003 model, Philips products is very durable. Using it meticulously it can function forever. One more suggestion it is to fix an IR sensor near the pick up wheel, this sensor should always make counting during the cassette deck operation. If pickup wheel is not spinning the sensor shall not make any count thereby it should cut the power to the cassette deck motor, so capstan cannot pull the tape out and make a mess. So simply the cassette is safe. Kindly pass it to the technical team. I would like to tell about this CD sound machine quality here 1.Good cassette recording / playback. 2.Good USB RIP, excellent compression ratio, the mp3 files aren't consuming much memory space and also this CD sound machine naturally adds a small echo effect in the RIP Mp3 files thus adding more hearing pleasure! 3.Bass reflex speakers gives good sound quality which is contemporary to woofers and tweeters. 4.Logarithmic sound control, very soft of course. 5.Good FM reception. Adding MW and SWs could be more than FM. More stations... 6.Neat CD playback, excellent audio lens. 7) A 3.5 mm AUX IN can be connected with laptops, desktop pcs, mobile phones, and other audio sources. Really useful. 8.Long lasting battery, very less power consumption indeed! 9.Very compact and stylish. Thank the Philips for giving this great product. Absolutely incredible!!

The AZ1852/98 is needed badly. I have been waiting to buy it since long. Just bring it on please.

Ripping of cassette to USB is good. Of course much depends on the quality of recording in the source cassette tape. The auto level volume adjustment while ripping to USB is a boon. As otherwise I should keep trying different levels of volume level. I have already started converting the music from cassettes to mp3 format. Can someone throw light whether recording to USB is possible from external source through input jack provided at the rear ? Thanks.

Why have you stopped this great product. I am greatly disappointed with Philips decision. Kindly bring back this AZ1852 CD sound machine for us, your customers. I hope it will back in market soon. You know that cassettes have some smart facilities where the digital things cannot do. It can be recorded and erased N-number of times, modern mobile phones can do the same as voice and video recordings, but if software crash comes data may be lose. But cassettes don't. Not only cassettes but this device has many usage. I connected my vintage radio to the mp3 link of this CD machine and recorded plenty of shortwave radio programs and incredible songs. It recorded it in my pendrive and put it in my PC. I can connect it with my mobile, PC, and other audio equipments. I still have a 40-years-old Philips MW/SW transistor radio working perfectly. Why don't this product can do like that? It can work even after 30 years. This product is absolutely incredible. No more comments. Please continue this product for one more decade.

Please include MW, SW1, SW2 radio bands. Please provide a glass or fiber shield on cassette door to view the take-up wheel is spinning or not. Avoid belts, because belts may stab on back anytime. Direct motor drive for cassette could be best. Please provide separate band selection for aux in or mp3 in. Aux input is best. Remember rr898 double deck stereo set, it has electronic source selector, not mechanical switching. Tape, cd, usb, radio, aux good design. You can include aux input for other mono cassette players also. Tape recorders in 80's had aux input. Please try to provide a motion sensor near take-up wheel, if accidentally it stops capstan and pinch roller will pull the tape and crush, to avoid this the sensor should sense the wheel rotation continuously and if the wheel is not spinning it should stop the motor immediately. So cassette tape will be safe from pulling and it is effective than auto stop. To avoid wow and flutter try to avoid using belt aids. Other functions are normal and no need amendments. Please reengineer the above said. Overall good, but still need to improve. Continue to support us. Thankyou.

Ripping is good. Sound and replay is fine. The product needs two additional features. 1. The USB pen drive, should be made to store even after the tape ends.2. If there is a tape counter, then we can exactly know when the tape ends and stop recording. One of the reviewers has given a detailed method on recording that is of great help. Philips should consider adding some of the points from there.

I find this sound machine has met my requirements of tape to MP3 without any fuss and so easy to convert without PC. I could transfer MP3 cd music files to pen drive with ease The radio so good with high sensitivity and stable operation. External input socket is very useful .

I was in search of a portable sound system. A few months back, I purchased a mini player from some company (name not required). But I was disappointed from its output. After browsing internet, I came to know about this product and at once decided to purchase it. It's now giving me my listening pleasure! Sweet, clear sound, rip plus technology, nice looks, cassette player etc are all fine and nice, no doubt. Phillips again proved its sincerity and dedication like old days when they used to make record players and cassette players.

An excellent product with phillips quality and good after sales service. Its USP is multisource ripping with one touch. This possibly is the only product which rips audio cassettes enabling you to preserve music on tapes besides CDs and radio music. In addition you have a fm radio, CD player and USB player. Real value for money. Using it for almost a year and am extremely satisfied
