The only grouse with this Tv is its android version was never upgraded. Amazon prime video crashes on play. Will it ever get a firmware update?

Very Good Clarity, Ease of use, Sound is very less, even with 100% its too low.Smart Tv feature is not upto mark

So we bought this Philips TV while looking to replace a rather old TV. Been a couple months since we got it. While we set out to get a TV with great clarity, and one into which we could plug in all our HDMI units (I have 3) we were enthralled with the fact that this unit came along with smart TV features. When the TV came home we set out to connect it to the net. The user interface is very sad. Basic audio and visual settings options are fine, just like any other TV, even one a couple generations old. The UI for the smart TV functions however is rather poor. To add to that the Smart TV function is one that's practically NEVER worked for us. With clear line of site of not more than 20 feet from a high end router, the TV practically never lets us use the internet it even though WiFi connectivity shows strong signal. We called home a technician since we'd bought the TV from a brick n mortar store, and funnily enough the technician ran down the quality of the antenna on the TV and told us we'd have to place the tv within a foot of the WiFi router to use those smart TV functions. So that's a complete Failure there. The amount of time the TV takes to come to life is also way much. I have to wait at least 10-15 seconds before it's done booting up. On the quality and use front, it works super with my surround sound, xbox, Apple TV, and of course the set top box. The picture quality is brilliant. I even tried a 4k movie on it and had a great time watching it. Colors are deep and brightness is quite right. The build quality of the TV is so-so. I felt worried that the bezel may come off when I was holding the TV up while wall mounding it. The input ports are scattered quite shabbily though. Some on the side, some pointing under. So the mess of cables extending from my tv is quite the nuisance. The saviour here though is that they've angled and spaced out the HDMI ports such that cable isn't squeezed against the wall. All in all, I'd say this is a good buy for a clear and bright screen but avoid it if u want to use ur TV as a Smart TV.

Tv is nice manufactured in Videocon factory with Philips owned specifications. Audio performance is really bad compare to other brand where Philips is nice brand but audio performance is spoiling image. About 4K then in India there is no 4K tv channel started then we are unable to check. I checked with youtube video but always getting buffering buffering and buffering nothing shown. Thus unable to check performance of 4K.

We bought PHILIPS TV on Diwali 2015 with 5yr warranty .. Twice the replacement of 42inch LED Phillips 42PUT7590/V7 AZ Tv is already done in one year... after months of persuasion.(display problems...1st tv had horizontal black about 6 inch flickering belt on the screen within 6months after purchase ...2nd tv had one thin vertical red line in the center of thescreen within 20 days after replacement) Now the 43inch (43PUT7690/V7 AZ) TV we received as replacement from Philips, after playing Rs2500 extra, on 8th August 2016, has lost its display completely within 3 months. Is it like we have been provided Bad or faulty TVs as brand new Replacements?? we take pride in taking good care of appliances we own. And they last for many years. But this purchase of Philips Tv has been a very big disappointment and inconvenience to our family. Rather a shock (coming from Such a renowned Company) so not buying philips Tv everrr.
