My Philips steam iron does not get hot (enough)

If your Philips iron does not heat up, there could be several causes. Learn more here.

The iron is not plugged or switched on

Make sure your iron is connected to the household power and is switched on.

When this is done correctly, you should see the power indicator light up.

The temperature is not set correctly

Please make sure to set the temperature to the desired temperature.

After 2 to 3 minutes, the soleplate should be hot.

If wrinkles are not easy to remove, the garment may not be moist enough. Wet the garment slightly and adjust the temperature dial up to a hotter position.

If the above does not work, please contact a Philips Consumer Care for a solution.
