Frequently asked questions

Yes, for both patients and staff. In structural heart disease procedures like LAA occlusion, for example, there is a 52% reduction in radiation dose when using EchoNavigator5.  And the Philips Azurion has been shown to cut procedure time by an average of 17%1, which means less X-ray exposure. Philips also offers proven dose-reduction solutions like DoseWise, Zero Dose Positioning, ClarityIQ, the enhanced MRC200+ X-ray tube and CardiacSwing.

"It is a solution designed by clinical experts for clinical experts. I have never seen anything like it in the marketplace before", says Barry T. Katzen, MD, Chief Medical Executive, MCVI. 96% of user test participants were satisfied with the Azurion’s ease of use; and 76% of staff6 felt more confident in making treatment decisions as they felt in control of measurements and applications. 2. Independent survey performed between July and December 2022. The survey involved 38 participants – technologists, nurses and physicians – from 6 countries. Questions were asked to participants with relevant experience of both a Philips Integrated Coronary Suite (combination of Azurion, IntraSight and Philips Hemo, Eagle Eye, Refinity and OmniWire) and a multi-vendor coronary cath lab.

  4. Evaluated with clinical users in a simulated lab environment
  5. VeriSight handling claims validated by clinician feedback collected from a bench study, with a sample size of 16 physicians and 16 technicians, totaling 32 clinicians. Clinicians also provided feedback based on images taken by VeriSight Pro in a porcine model. Data on file (D000259724).
  6. These results were obtained during an independent survey performed between July and December 2022. The survey involved 38 participants from 6 countries spread over technologist, nurses and physicians. Questions were asked to participants that had relevant working experience in both a Philips Integrated Coronary Suite (combination of Azurion, IntraSight and Philips Hemo, Eagle Eye, Refinity and OmniWire) and a multi-vendor coronary cath lab (A multi-vendor lab is a cath lab where the equipment needed to perform the procedures is not supplied by a single vendor). The main objective was to evaluate the benefits of a Philips Integrated Coronary Suite compared to a multi-vendor lab.
  7. Determined via the COCIR SRI method. Compared to the Azurion's predecessor, the Allura Xper platform. Exact energy reduction figures depend on the configuration.
  8. Uptime guarantee may differ per market and modality.
