Healthcare Business Director, Charles Wonsono explains why the group selected Philips to provide service support from technology and maintenance through to lifecycle management:
We had a vision of establishing hospitals in Indonesia that would serve and reach all Indonesians. The reason why we chose Philips over third party engineers is because Philips understood that vision [..] and is still very supportive of that mission.
The services include the strategic management and maintenance of the hospital group’s vital medical equipment. Representing a critical and sophisticated asset, medical equipment needs to be well maintained and Siloam Hospital Group was keen to go beyond reactive maintenance to utilize proactive and remote maintenance capabilities, understanding that these are key to enabling minimal downtime, patient safety and quality while contributing to clinical excellence goals.
For the group an important part of the service has been access to Philips field service engineers. These highly trained experts provide maintenance and technical support on site but also have extensive remote analysis and support capabilities that make it possible to diagnose and fix potential challenges before they even occur.
Dr. Edy Gunawan, Chief Executive Officer MRCCC Siloam Hospitals Semanggi, explains: “Over the years we have seen increasing patient volume, and now we see challenges related to managing our aging equipment. Philips technical team works closely with us to understand our specific needs and addresses potential issues before they affect our operations. Their approach includes frequent communication and regular proactive visits to check and monitor our equipment’s stability and prevent malfunctions. It also includes a very dedicated warehouse for spare parts, which reduces the time needed to replace the faulty components.”
It aligns well with our goal of maintaining a high standard patient care and interrupted care.
