My Philips system's remote control interferes with TV

This is because both the remote control and the infrared receiver of your TV use the same Codec software to cause a signal interference. this is not a failure.

To avoid this happening, relocate either the system or your TV so that the angle (Opposite to the remote control) between them is as large as possible.
