ARC does work. @NBABU you need to change the settings for mapping and select the device you need to connect for ARC.

Sound Quality is Good; ARC does not work

Overall we can get expected output at this base model & price for regular use at small to moderate home at starter level of home cinema fans. Software update does not support/play latest video formats. No recent release from 2015. ARC does not work even with certified HDMI cables; tried with cables available in market from 1.4 version to 2.0 version. ARC option is disabled.
