How do I clean and disinfect my Philips Avent breast pump?

You can clean and disinfect your Philips Avent Essential electrical breast pump in four easy steps. Please be aware that these steps do not apply to the motor unit or USB cable.

1. Disassemble the removable parts of your device in accordance with the user manual.
2. Either clean the removable parts in a dishwasher or soak them for five minutes in warm water and a mild dish detergent.
3. Rinse the parts thoroughly, then boil them in hot water for five minutes.
4. Allow all parts to air dry on a drying rack or clean towel.

Note: there is no need to disinfect the silicone tubes or caps because they do not come in contact with milk.
