Rated 4 out of 5 by from RipPlus is the trump card The only reason I bought this product coz of its RipPlus feature which allows multisource ripping to USB. This gives the life to our old cassete collections. Check out the pros n cons as mentioned below. But beyond all these I would suggest this product to all the music lovers just for its RipPlus feature. Steps to record (as I do it): 1.plugin the usb 2.Play from any source. 3.Press record button in remote, to start ripping . U see a rip image displayed in the small display. 4. Press stop button in remote when ever you are done with recording.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for cassette ripping to USB; good sound. This is great if you want to transfer your old cassettes quickly to MP3 using a pen drive. This feature is very easy to use. However, the set that I have has a problem with the tape drive- the tape runs slower than normal, and the sound is therefore distorted! That is a big let-down. Great sound from the CD, though. Other features are common to most units of this type. The LCD display and other buttons work fine. Overall, good sound quality and good conversion to MP3.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An excellent product which even rips audio tapes An excellent product with phillips quality and good after sales service. Its USP is multisource ripping with one touch. This possibly is the only product which rips audio cassettes enabling you to preserve music on tapes besides CDs and radio music. In addition you have a fm radio, CD player and USB player. Real value for money. Using it for almost a year and am extremely satisfied

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great product I find this sound machine has met my requirements of tape to MP3 without any fuss and so easy to convert without PC. I could transfer MP3 cd music files to pen drive with ease The radio so good with high sensitivity and stable operation. External input socket is very useful .

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Product not WORKING I just purchased the product today. My attempts to rip the cassette to USB is repeatedly failing. I have tried three different cassettes and three different USBs. It is not working. But I could record from FM radio as well as play songs from USB. Please advise further action.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from AZ1852 - RIP PLUS RIP PLUS WAS THE MOTIVATOR AND IT WORKS ONLY ON USB 2.0 BELOW. HOWEVER THE DISAPPOINTMENT IS IN THE MANUAL WHICH IS UNCLEAR. THE CONVERSION TO USB GETS SAVED ONLY WHEN THE END BUTTON IS PRESSED ON THE USB BUTTONS. HOWEVER WHEN THE TAPE AUTO EJECTS AT THE END, YOU WILL HAVE TO REPEAT THE PROCESS ALL OVER AGAIN. ANY SUGGESTION?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality at Unreasonable price The sound reproduction is not great and not worth the name Soundmachine. The Radio portion is very weak. Even the local FM stations are not picked up well. Will never think of another PHILIPS product for me or recommend.
