1.Back In the Game (B.I.G)



Back in the Game (B.I.G.) is a unique initiative recently launched by Philips India that provides a platform to women talent to return to a corporate career at Philips, post a break in their career (due to lifestyle, personal or any other reason). This internship program is aimed at providing these interns necessary mentorship and an environment of flexibility as they resume their careers with us at Philips.


B.I.G. provides an opportunity to young, talented and ambitious women to work on Projects across all our 3 sectors at Philips (Lighting, Healthcare and Consumer Lifestyle) in the following functions – HR, Marketing & Strategy, Finance, Supply Chain and R&D. The live projects are strategic in nature and challenge the interns to apply their functional and leadership experience over 3-6 months. The internship program also provides each candidate access to Philips leadership by providing her a ‘Mentor’ and a ‘Buddy’ in addition to the Project Lead who the intern will be working with directly.


Candidates, who wish to apply for internship as part of the BIG program, must meet the following criteria:


We are looking for

  • Applicants who are eager to return to a career post a break in their employment (due to life cycle stage or any other reasons)
  • Seasoned professionals with Masters in Business Management (or equivalent professional degree) from a premier school
  • Applicants who have at least 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in the specific domain the project
  • Applicants who possess the maturity and self-confidence to work with colleagues across levels
  • Customer-focus, communication skills and a service-oriented approach

Educates and highlights employees about values and ethos. This program aims at enhancing awareness of gender and generational diversity issues and increase sensitivity through innovative approaches and communication campaigns channeled through live events.


3.Second Innings Initiative

The Diversity council and Talent Acquisition team partner to ensure a sharp focus on diversity in all our hiring endeavors. Our second innings initiative encourages women back to mainstream work environment after extended sabbaticals, which may have been due to motherhood or any other personal reasons. The hires are incubated in the system over a period of 6 to 9 months through a series of mentoring, coaching and up-skilling programs prior to project assignments.

Aims at providing employees opportunities to interact with business leaders and achievers from the industry and learn from their experiences through connect programs such as seminars, conferences and other forums.
