Caffè Crema

 

60ml espresso
30ml heavy cream

 

Italian for ‘cream coffee’, this double-shot espresso is literally topped with cream and is particularly popular along the borders of Italy with Switzerland and Austria. This was also what espressos were known as in the 1940s and 50s, as they were literally coffee with crema.
