Philips Food processor HL1659 5 jar 750W lavender intelligent is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 117.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Poor quality Plastic parts take away from an excellent product. (HL 1650) It could be rated an excellent machine, but the jar release button is of very poor quality. Despite complaints, they do relace the simple 2 Rs button, but some how make it work and ask us to treat the button carefully. The machine is advertised as super-silent. It is less noisy but its a questionable claim to call it super-silent. Bad advertising - not expected from Philips. Otherwise, the main machine is excellent and gives satisfactory performance and is sturdy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The arm of this food processor is not locking properly from second time use onewards. No product support also available I am trying to get in touch with customer care on phone/mail/chat but nothing seems to work. I am thoroughly dissatisfied by the product and customer care and would not recommend this product to any one. During second time use itself, the locking system of the arm started malfunctioning, may be a sensor issue or mechanical issue but not expected from a branded company like philips

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The processor is good if you are able to make it work 1. The quality of work the food processor does is good. 2. The problem is on ease of use. PRessing the buttons to set the time is difficult. We have to press the buttons very hard and the increment is only by 5 seconds. A old style knob is much easier to use or make it totally digital like a microwave. (The price is comparable to a microwave!) 3. The setting of the hand is not very easy to do and needs a lot of force which a soft lady may not have! 4. Overall I am not very satisfied with the product and we are still using our old Inalsa Food Processor for most of the tasks.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Blender Jar is leaking Have used the product for for only 3 months and the blender jar has started to leak. Also the blades on the all the jar have already gone blunt so mixing takes twice the amount of time. How do I get the blender jar fixed or replaced?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good product from Philips! I have bought this Philips HL1659 Food Processor and have been using it for a couple of months now. Very good food processor compared with other brands available for the similar price or more. Main features which I like: 1. It's Auto mode. This is excellent feature in Philips FP HL 1659. 2. The Lid holder is works very well, need not attend the grinding job and leave the auto mode on without worrying about the lid flying off. 3. Non-slip Feet again is a good feature. 4. Excellent build quality. Very good quality of plastic and steel used. 5. Blades are very sharp and do the job quickly. 6. Very effecient (making chutny used to take more than 5 mins in my previous food processor which was more expensive then this. This one takes around 2 minutes to complete the task. 7.Takes heavy load (good for grinding rice for making dosa, idly etc) 8. Vegetable slicing for salads works like a charm. The only thing which I do not like is the Juicer, it's not up to the mark. Overall it's an excellent food processor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Performance It's been 3 years since I bought this food processor and I am happy with the performance so far except for a few hassles. I purchased this processor as it was a great combination of mixer grinder and food processor. it is very sturdy, durable, safe and it's 750W power motor is ideal for Indian food preparation. it is very good for atta kneading, batter making, chopping, slicing, masala grinding etc. However a few design features and functionalities do tend to pose hiccups while using it. The adjustable arm does give problems with chutney jar. Sometimes it gets jammed and sometimes it does not lock properly. So I have to hold it while using it. The blender jar and processor bowl plastic is not good quality. it would be really great if the blender jar was made of glass with ice crushing feature and measurement scale on it. The overall look n feel could be improvised to make it look smarter. On the whole it is a good food processor but I am still looking forward for a better model in future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent food processor reading some negative reviews, i was a little confused about buying this product.. but bought it out of the thrust i had on philips.. now i feel very happy about it.. the processor is the best one you can ever buy.. i am really satisfied with its features.. the only thing i wolud like to share is that it would have been much better had they provided a centrifugal juicer attachment to the processing bowl instead of a seperate juicer jar.. all other features are excellent..superb..

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped working, just a few months old I fell this product is so over engineered. Inspite of locking the jar & handle, it doesn't want to turn on at all... Keeps playing up all the time. A product that costs so much should have better life & durability. Unfortunately i got this product with me to Brisbane from India and there is no service center here to fix it. So i just wasted all the money i spent for buying this product and getting it here all the way... i will not buy anymore Philips products...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good design, bt makes noise Good product by Philips. Nice, compact and intelligent design. The kneading is not very smooth and proper. It makes a great amount of noise too. So much that, we prefer to knead manually. Else it is a great unit to spend money on.
