Good Iron for everyday use
Philips GC1950 Iron is value for money product.
•With its 1440W power consumption, Steam Iron is ready to use at full heat if required within few seconds.
•The soleplate is excellent and moves very smoothly over fabric. Accidentally tried to Iron a nylon cloth on high temperature resulting in cloth getting burnt and got stuck to the soleplate. Just had to wipe the soleplate with wet cloth and the soleplate was clean.
•Light weight and good ergonomics makes Ironing easy. Narrow tip is very useful for Ironing in narrow places.
•The steam feature is really good with option of continuous low/high steam. The steam burst is powerful to remove stubborn stains and water spray is good with fine spray.
•The self clean option is good and using it regularly keeps the Steam Iron’s soleplate clean from dirt that gets collected in holes on the soleplate.

Best Buy...
Looks:
Great looks, good size, and looks good on the ironing board. Before buying it I thought the purple buttons might look bad, but they didnât seem as bad when i saw the iron.
Price:
It has the best "price to watt" ratio, and i wanted only above 1300W. This was the best price i found for an iron above that wattage.
Power:
Considering its 1440W when most irons are 1300W, it heats up really fast and extremely hot, so be a little careful.
Sole plate:
Considering the bulkiness of the iron, it would have been more convenient if the sole plate was at least 1/2 inch to 1 inch longer. But then again i had checked electric irons of most companies, and seems like this is the standard size these days. Older Philips irons had comparatively larger sole plate base.

Good Iron - Value for Money
I have giofted it to my mother , this is a VFM product .
Best Thing of this is that it have Spray Function, which comes in handy on Cotton Clothes like Party Wear.
Also Sole Plate slide over every type of Fabric just like a magic.
Sole Plate adjust to the Temperature settings within seconds not like old irons where you have tp wait a lot for iron to cool
There are Some Cons:
Lack of proper Design, When you have your iron filled with water and you stand it Vertically . there are chances of spillingg of Hot Water.
Time Consuming steam Function : To use steam you have to wait for 5 minutes , and then only small amount of steam is produce that is not enough.

A no-hassles steam iron
I had been using a different steam iron and I bought this after it got defunct. What this brings to the (iron) table is ironing at the highest level of comfort.
The build of the iron and the powerful 1440W heating plate makes it very easy to iron without me having to apply much pressure on the clothes. Along with these and the steam that it generates, it can handles the worst possible wrinkles on clothes without too much of an effort and lends them that crisp-new feeling.
The product scores pretty high in the looks department and is ergonomically designed to iron at ease despite it being a bit heavier when compared to others.
