The main reason I selected Philips FP is that its ease of use, but the same properties became big hurdle while using FP
I purchased this FP 1 yr ago. The main reason I selected Philips FP is that its ease of use which was shown in the demo. But the same properties became big hurdle while using FP as described below: 1. The FP hand don't fit with the smallest jar, one has to manually hold the handled attached to the jar otherwise mixer won't start. 2. In case of bigger jars, if mixer vibrates, FP hand gets misplaced and miser stops again one has to manually adjust it to start again. 3. The small caps on top of the jar caps are very fragile. All caps broke while fixing the jars. 4. It was supposed to be less noisy grinder, but it makes same noise as my old grinder.

Disappointed
Worked OK for about 24 months - then the speed selector switch developed a 'loose contact' problem. The service center guy said that the circuit board had to be replaced. Well, it is amazing how these appliances conk out as soon as the warranty/guarantee is over.
I junked the machine.

The best food processor in the indian market
I am a very difficult person to please. If despite that, i love my philips food processor HL 1659 there has to be something to it.
From cutting salads to kneeding dough to juicing, this processor does the exact work you want. The powerful machine sucks in the last piece of carrot to be sliced into circular pieces for the salad... no left overs. ditto for grating and any other processing requirement. The work is clean and superbly done.
The design of the machine looks better in person than in the pictures for some reason.
The suction stands dont let the machine move no matter what, and the extendable arm gives you the freedom to multitask.
The only faults i could find were 1) not very easy to clean due to the circular paterns and many unreachable nooks, nets and corners... I wash the jars and blades right away before any food matter dries and sticks forever in the wrong place. Imagine having to remove smalee fibres out of the juicer net.
2) The machine is definitely not supersilent as advertised. Infact it is much noisier than your average processor.
But what's a little noice when your work is cut in half.
Made1 kg bhindi sabsi in 35 min out of which the processing part took only 15 minutes including the washing, drying, chopping of onions, tomatoes and bhindi. i also cut some salad veges and made muskmelon juice in the same time. ( and made chapaties while the bhindi was cooking)
Earlier it used to take me atleast 1 hour 15 min to get the same work done by hand.
This product is awesome...
Took me another 15 minutes just to clean the juicer jar and the food processor jar with all its blades. Ofcourse you have to go a little slow during the washing as the blades are a competent killer.
Suggestion - Pleas do include a special storage container with specific space for each item - for all the blades, jar heads and all items that come in the tiny white box. This will make it easier to store and prevent unnecessary damage to the small parts

Bad product
when I use the mixer, it works perfectly. But, the next day I use it, it doesn't work. I have to press the overload button all the time wait for 2-4 hours to use it. Its usage is too complex and its not durable. As they have advertised its not super silent.

Great power & performance, But very bad design
This is a great powerful product & I bought this for the same reason.
There are many fundamental design flaws.
1. The locking mechanism for jar on the top is not well designed. Smaller jars take considerable effort.
2. the Suction rubber at the bottom is good, but if a little water gets under it, the suction pad is useless. The product vibrates like mad. You can only use this when the surface is dry. Not sure how to use a grinder in a kitchen floor & never get it wet.
3. Parts are ridiculously expensive & support is fairly bad.
4. While it kneads the atta great, its useless for a family of 3-4 eating about 12 rotis in a day. The effort required to clean the
But best product to buy iff you need powerful processor. I am still not sure, what I am doing with the extra power

Yes.This product has great features.
This product is very useful in daily kitchen chores, especially its multifunctional food processing jar, which does chopping, mincing, grating & kneading in few seconds,i.e,truely in fraction of a minute.
Due to its heavy duty motor,both-dry & wet grinding is done very quickly (in almost a minute) and effectively (as finely as required).
And most importantly, due to its Intello-Arms & lock system, it really is a hands-free device, which is an uncommon feature.
I'm very very much satisfied with this product, as my work is done easily & in a very short time, which proves as boon to a working woman like me.

Kitchen's best friend
Yes, its the best friend of the kitchen. Chop or cut any vegetables with in couple of minutes. Prepares atta for roti in no time and doesnt stick around the vessel and easy to clean. Initially setting up the processor was one of the biggest task. Later got used to it. Setting up now takes no time. The best feature about the device I liked the most is its smart. If the processor is not locked properly, it would start, which makes it safe and avoids accidents in the kitchen

Product need to serve the purpose of preparing all kind of juces
Main problem with this machine is we cannot prepare juices of all kinds. For example carrots, radish, etc.
Company shall design and provide the Juices preparing attachment to all existing and future users.
there are unnecessary attachments with the product that can be eliminated.

Unfinished/ scratched plastic/metal parts
I had to return this product twice after the piece delivered was scratched all over at bottom of jars and also jar body seemed to have some dents. The dealer was quite fussy to accept the return saying all units are like this only and accepted only upon insistence as I was buying a microwave from the same dealer.
Subsequently, I have had a look at this product across dealerships and surprisingly it seems that this is a standard problem with this model. All units I have seen have scratches on white portion of jars, unfinished/scratched metal body, even the holding bar has scratched metal.
The product seems o have a better build quality than other options but this is a big drawback..

Good product, lots of sound
No complaints apart from the sound. Philips should not market this as super silent motor. There is absolutely nothing silent about it. Apart from that, quite happy with the product.

Been using this for 4 years with lot of pain
The small was so sensitive that it's gone after 2 years. And they don't have proper service centres where we bought it. We should visit some other place for repair. And the handle is designed very senselessly. The digits are not in sync with handle. And now it has completely stopped working. Please consider the reviews seriously before buying. Go for any normal mixer grinder than this processor. It's completely waste of money.
