The Consumer Lifestyle arm in India currently comprises three categories:

  • Personal Care - includes products ranging from male grooming to women’s haircare
  • Domestic Appliances - includes products ranging from kitchen appliances (induction cooktops, juicer mixer grinders, the revolutionary AirFryers, and the latest range of coffee machines from the Philips Saeco portfolio) to garment care and floor care
  • New Businesses - Under this category, Philips has added Pain Management as a new category to the Portfolio in 2014


Philips Consumer Lifestyle is the market leader in both Domestic Appliances and Personal Care, with over 50% CAGR in Personal Care. The male grooming portfolio specifically has been the fastest growing category for Philips in India and has been a category creator, introducing the Indian market to the idea of facial styling and, more recently, body-grooming.


Philips is also a formidable player in the Indian garment care market and is driving the shift from dry to steam ironing in India. It is currently the market leader in steam irons.


In 2011, Philips acquired Maya Appliances, owners of the Preethi range of kitchenware, as a step towards driving local innovation and growth in a dynamic kitchen appliances market.
